Bison Division to celebrate Golden Jubilee Hyderabad, Sept 29 (INN): The Bison Division will celebrate its Golden Jubilee at a grand scale on October 1.
The Bison Division will be honouring its 'heroes', veterans and Veer Naris on this occasion. As many as 25 Veer Naries, whose gallant husbands were martyred in the 1971 war and Op PAWAN, along with six gallantry award winners and next of kin, will be part of Golden Jubilee celebrations. A wreath laying ceremony at the War Memorial would be an apt reminder of those who made the supreme sacrifice for the nation.
The celebrations commenced last month with civic action programmes including a blood donation camp for Thalassemics and a medical camp for the under privileged civil population living in the vicinity of Bolarum cantonment. A large number of specialists were called for rendering free services for health check up as also screening for life threatening diseases.
