Nayani, Harish attends Jaya's funeral Hyderabad, Dec 6 (INN): Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday expressed his shock over the demise of his Tamil Nadu counterpart Jayalalithaa after battling for life for 75 days.
Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao represented Telangana State at the funeral of Jayalalithaa. The two ministers paid floral tributes to the late leaders and consoled the bereaved family. Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao had deputed his two cabinet colleagues to represent the state at the funeral of the late leader of Tamil Nadu.
The last rites of the late leader were performed by Sasikala, a close confidant Jayalalithaa. She was buried at the MGR Memorial Ghat with full state honours.
