Conduct longer sessions of TS Assembly : Ponguleti Hyderabad, Dec 7 (INN): MLC and senior Congress leader Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy on Wednesday hit out at Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao saying that the CM was conducting Assembly session at his whims and fancies to meet his political gains.
Speaking to media persons, Ponguleti said that the state was witnessing a host of issues and the government is not ready to discuss them. He said that the government should have organized Assembly sessions at least for 15 days to discuss all outstanding issues confronting the people of the state.
He said as per the provisions, the government should run Assembly sessions at least for 52 days but the government is violating the said rule without conducting the sessions as per laid down rules. The KCR government is mocking the democracy norms, he said.
Ponguleti also alleged that KCR was advocating cashless society without having required knowledge about the issue. He said common people, especially farmers, were suffering due to cash crunch after the demonitisation of high value currency notes. He also accused KCR and his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N. Chandrababu Naidu of not briefing the Centre on the real impact of demonitisation in their respective States.
