Telangana to shift budget to Calendar Year Hyderabad, May 16 (INN): Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has said that in tune with the Centre's thought process and in accordance with its proposed policy, the Telangana Government has plans to introduce the Budget from the calendar year to calendar year (January 1 to December 31).
The Chief Minister is having discussions with the State's Finance department and other higher officials in this regard. He has also instructed Finance Minister Etela Rajender, Principal secretary to Finance Ramakrishna Rao and other officials' team to pay a visit to Madhya Pradesh to study where the Budget is already being presented in the new format i.e., calendar year to calendar year.
